Are you a government agency?

No. Get My Passports is a private company that provides administrative assistance with India visa applications. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by the Government of India or any government agency. We do not issue visas. All visa decisions are made solely by the Government of India. Applicants may apply directly through the official Government of India website at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in if they choose.

Do Americans need a visa for India?

Yes. There’s no India visa on arrival for US citizens, so you must apply for an India travel visa beforehand.

What do I need to apply for an e-visa India?

A valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity and 2 blank pages. A recent digital passport photo on a white background.

How will I receive my e-visa once approved?

You’ll get an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) by email. It shows your personal details, visa type, and validity.

Do I need a printed copy of my e-visa?

Yes. Bring a printed copy of your e tourist visa India to immigration. Keep a digital copy too.

How can I reduce the risk of delays or rejection?

Ensure your passport meets validity requirements, provide a recent compliant photo, and complete all application details accurately. Final approval is determined by the Government of India.

What if my visa is rejected?

You may reapply after correcting the issues noted by the government. We can assist with reviewing your application before resubmission, but approval is determined by the Government of India.

Do minors need visas?

Yes. Every traveler, including children, needs a separate india visitor visa or e-visa.

Is a yellow fever vaccination required?

Not for most US travelers, unless arriving from a yellow fever-endemic country.

Can I change my port of entry after applying?

Yes. You can enter through any designated airport or seaport for e-visa holders.

Is my e-visa valid everywhere in India?

Mostly. Some protected areas require special permits.

Do I need two blank passport pages?

Yes. You need space for entry and exit stamps.

Can I extend my e-visa once I’m in India?

No. You must exit India and reapply if you need more time.
